Dry fly fishing is an angling technique in which the fly floats on the surface of the water and does not sink below it.
Dry-dropper fishing uses a brightly colored, floating dry fly to act as a strike indicator while a nymph drifts immediately below in the water column.
The double nymph rig is an effective way of presenting trout more than one food option and allows you target different sections of the water column.
Tying your second nymph off in this fashion will allow both flies maximum presentability.
